Paris - Day 2

Metro
Today we figured out the metro (yay!) and took it to a bus tour of many city monuments. While the metro can look pretty sketchy in some areas, it is an extremely efficient system. It was pretty hot in there with no air conditioning or outside air. Making transfers to different stations can be a little nerve wracking but we were able to make it!

Bus Tour
Once we took the metro to the nearest stop on our bus tour, we walked around before boarding our bus. When we got on the bus, it was a double-decker and we sat on top to take pictures. They had a little headphone system to listen to a tour guide tell about the history of each place we passed or stopped at.

We walked the Champs Élysées and check out the shops. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how difficult it was going to be a vegetarian in France. I payed nearly 8 bucks for a small jar of Skippy today. Peanut butter is like gold to me now - expensive and hard to come by.

Other Thoughts
Here are some of the pictures I took today. It would take forever to upload them all. I hope you are all doing well in the states. Oh what I would give for a burrito at Taco Bell right now. It's the simple things folks!
