The Louvre
Today we ventured into the Louvre for a good 4 hours. We saw so many great things, unfortunately to see everything would probably take weeks. It was amazing to see artwork, that you read in books and see online, in person. It is absolutely breathtaking. We took tons of pictures, but many don't do the art justice. Many pictures are lacking detail (and obviously dimension) but hopefully you will get an idea of their beauty and depth.

After the Louvre, we strolled the Jardin des Tuileries while snacking on chocolate croissants. Then we took the metro back to the Champs-Élysées to get a closer view of the Arc de Triomphe. We hopped back on our tour bus to see the Notre Dame but when we finally arrived it was hot as hell and the line was so so long. The heat was really getting to me so we took a taxi home. Lame I know, I am such a pansy. Anyways, so we are back at our hotel and I am trying my hardest not to fall asleep!! After getting 4 hours of sleep last night, I am determined to get on France time. Wish me luck.
Today's the 100th anniversary of La Gioconda being stolen from the Louvre. I think you should honor that fact by stealing it. =)
